Each and every year the HOMEBAKE music and arts festival embraces a number of charities and causes and as mentioned, this year we will be highlighting the work of Amnesty International. Amnesty International is one of the worlds most respected Human Rights organisations, Founded in London in July 1961 by English Labour lawyer, Peter Benenson, according to his own account, he was travelling in the London Underground on 19 November 1960, when he read of two Portuguese students who had been sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for having drunk a toast to liberty. We are proud to be aligned with AI for Homebake 08.
