Two wolves leave the pack

Saturday, 9 August 2008

Rumours of unrest within the Wolfmother camp have been confirmed with the resignation of two band members. Bass/keyboard player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett have announced their departure from the Grammy Award-winning band citing "irreconcilable personal and musical differences". A statement issued yesterday by Modular Records announced Ross' official resignation shortly after their Splendour in the Grass appearance on Sunday night. Heskett has also decided to leave the band rather than continue with a changed line-up. It's widely known the pair have long clashed with frontman Andrew Stockdale, and, despite a hiatus in late 2007 before returning to work in 2008, the trio were unable to work out their differences. Stockdale plans to continue Wolfmother with new musicians while Ross and Heskett will work together on a new project.
