Reinventing Johnny Cash

The music of Johnny Cash is set to be remixed by a host of hip-hop and dance artists for a new album called Johnny Cash Remixed. Among the artists contributing their re-workings of Cash songs is Snoop Dogg who is taking on the classic 'I Walk the Line'. Other acts involved include Alabama 3, Philip Steir and Mexican Industry of Sound. According to Billboard.com, Cash's son John Carter Cash says his father would have approved of this record. "While it stays true to the original recordings, this CD touches on undiscovered ground. This is what my father was about: staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking new music". Johnny Cash Remixed is out October 14.
